Take the nice weather when you can get it

November 7, 2007 By: Runner Leana

Today was a gorgeous and sunny 7 deg C outside (45 deg F). I hit the pathways over my lunch hour for a 4 mile run. It wasn’t the greatest as I felt a bit sluggish, but it was good to get it done. Weather in this town is crazy and we can go from sunny and nice one day to crazy snow storm the next. I have to take the nice weather when it comes my way. I’m aiming for another 4 miles over lunch tomorrow, then a SLR of 4 and a LLR of 8 miles this weekend. That will give me 20 miles for the week. I’m going to aim to get my midweek runs in over lunch as much as possible now, given that it gets dark so early now.

What I find amazing is that you call that good weather! Last night I ran in weather like that and thought of giving up running until April!

Ah, I smell a plan! I’m thinking along those same lines and even throwing in some strength training in the evenings. Of course it is just a plan……..
