I almost forgot to mention…

September 23, 2008 By: Runner Leana

…that I had a major breakthrough in the pool today! Ever since the instructor told me that I need to focus on having my thumb enter the water first instead of my pinkie I feel like I’ve been fighting the water. Today she offered one more piece of advice – to curve my hand as opposed to enter flat as a paddle. All of a sudden it was amazing! I finally got it! I felt so strong, fluid and efficient in the water. Hurrah!!

I’m flapping my arms on the sofa to see what I do, pretty sure I don’t enter with my pinkie which is disappointing as that means no easy gains for me.

Keep the tips coming though, hopefully one of them will work for me.
