…than so long. Sometimes you have to realize that you just can’t do it all. As I approach the end of the year I also hit the busiest season at work. Reserves. Our calculations of how much oil and gas we have left in the ground is due by the end of the year. Last year I put in a pretty good amount of overtime and I don’t anticipate that this year will be any different. Unfortunately spending all of that time at work isn’t really fair for my dog who would be spending so much time at home on his own. I made the tough decision to send him off to my parents’ place for a bit. At least this way I know he’ll be well looked after with plenty of walks, cheese and love. And now he’ll be around the family for Christmas instead of stuck in a kennel in Calgary. Regardless, today was a sad day as I gave my furball Finlay a big hug before he moved away from home, albeit only temporarily.

Ah =( This sucks for you and for him. I know that you would feel bad if you couldn’T spend much time with him. It will take time to get used to him not being there.

Awww, I know how difficult that must have been. We thought about doing that when we were moving to Philly. You are doing the right thing. You’ll be together soon.

I agree, it was the right thing to do. Dogs need attention and he’ll be much happier for it. I’m sure he’ll be thrilled to have people spoiling him 🙂

“Love knows not its own depth until the hour of separation!”

It looks like he’s on his road trip west looking back out the window thinking of you!

I understand about your busy time and the reserve reports. Our busy time starts when all those reserve reports start heading our way!

Hope you still find time to fit in all the fun stuff!

Aaaaaw! Poor puppy! I never would have thought of that. I hope he gets lots of treats while you’re gone.

My cat’s in heat and her spaying appointment isn’t for another 4 weeks. Do your parents want to babysit a howling kitten as well?

Aww, Finlay! I’m sure it’s the best decision and he’ll be happy you made it for him. I have a good friend who loves her dog to bits and is going to send her to stay with her parents for a bit, too! Seems like our generation is getting worked to the bone!

My word veri was “skies” fitting for your picture!
