Ready to Ride…

November 29, 2009 By: Runner Leana

DSCN1804Here she is…ready to go!  I got the good folks at Bow Cycle to put her together for me today, then had a 2D fit done.  We adjusted seat height and position, and added in an extra spacer at the stem.  Without the spacer my aero position was really aggressive and it may not be comfortable on longer rides.  This should be a good start and once I ride more I’ll have an idea as to whether additional tweaks may be needed.  The guy doing my fit confirmed that this bike does indeed fit me really well.

In the evening I put a trainer tire on, moved my Garmin Edge over from my old bike and did a few other things to get it set up.  Wow those trainer tires are tough to put on!!  As the weather is supposed to be nice tomorrow I had initially thought I may have a chance to test her outdoors.  Sadly snow rolled in Friday afternoon and now there is snow, ice and gravel all over the roads.  It may melt later tomorrow, but probably not till quite a bit later in the day.  Oh well, I am sure I can find a good trainer workout to do instead!DSCN1805

Wooohooo! Glad it fits great! I have to laugh about adding a spacer cuz I always made fun of myself for having so many as it was (my back problems forced me to put em all in).
    Have a GREAT ride!!!

Did you find the set-up pretty reasonable price wise?? I’m thinking my bike might need some adjusting.

That is a very sexy bike. Almost makes me want to get one. 😐 Oneday maybe.
