Promptly after getting Peat the other weekend I got hit with the flu. It completely knocked me out and it knocked my voice out too. I already had laryngitis for three weeks after getting sick right before the Disney Half Marathon. Between being sick in January, my inexplicable swollen knee that kept me out of commission for all of March and this yucky flu I was feeling pretty sorry for myself. I seem to have a tough time staying healthy so far this year.
Luckily I had Peat to keep me company while I was home sick and who also just happens to be the world’s best cuddler.
He also likes to watch other dogs on TV (case in point, Nana the nurse dog in Peter Pan).
I popped by Costco to pick up some milk bones for him. What happened to milk and veggie flavour? These milk bones are for some serious meat loving doggies!
After being stuck at home for a few days I got a little bored and decided to tackle putting up pictures in our *newly painted* living room. The room has a very tall ceiling so I thought a gallery wall would be a fun use of space.
We’ve actually been pretty busy redecorating bits and pieces of our home so far this year. We’ve finally eradicated almost all of the builder’s beige in the place and it was nice to say sayonara to the sage green in favour of a light, bright beige in the living room.
As for my knee, I got great news from my physiotherapist that the swelling is completely gone. I’m also happy to say that the pain and discomfort in my knee is gone too. I’m hoping that once I’ve finally kicked this nasty flu that I’ll be back running…fingers crossed!
