Don’t run away…hear me out here. Vagisil is my new miracle product.
I’m getting ahead of myself since I haven’t written my race report from Great White North, but it was crazy wet on the bike and I wound up with some wicked chaffing from my saddle. I’ve been pretty lucky and I haven’t really been hit with saddle sores up until now. I googled ways to treat it and one suggested method was Vagisil. According to Active.com the active ingredients include benzocaine (local anaesthetic and topical pain reliever) and resorcinol (antiseptic, helps reduce the possibility of infection, and disinfectant, kills microorganisms living on substances) making it perfect for this application.
My chamois rash was so uncomfortable that I had to ask my superstar husband to run to the drugstore to pick some up for me after the race. Relief came quickly and I was now singing Vagisil’s praises. I told all my friends.
Fast forward to this week. It is uncomfortably hot here. The house is a whopping 30 deg C. The mosquitos are abundant and I have no fewer than ten mosquito bites on my tooshy alone. As I was lamenting the lack of a way to treat them I spied my tube of Vagisil. Couldn’t hurt, right? It turns out that Vagisil on mosquito bites is amazing!
There we go my friends, Vagisil for saddle sores and mosquito bites. Who knew? You’re welcome!
True love = buying feminine products. Good for him. (That’s good quality husband points racked up there buddy!) No doubt he was willing to help apply it, and make sure it was thoroughly rubbed in.
Oh my gosh Leana, you are making me laugh! You are right, who knew?
I was a little scared to read this post at first but then I figured it MUST have an honest purpose! Ha ha. Incidentally, vagisil can also be used to treat diaper rash. What a miracle product!
