Keeping It Tight With ProCompression Trainer Low Socks

I love fun socks.  I also love compression socks.  When I first heard about ProCompression it was back in December when they were releasing their super awesome holiday socks.  I wore them for the Disney Family Fun Run 5K and received a ton of compliments from people along the course (including the race announcer as I crossed the finish line).

I had only ever worn compression socks for recovery up until this point, but these felt really comfortable to run in.  Then back in January I was reading a review of ProCompression’s low cut socks on Running Bun.  Low cut compression socks?  That sounds like an intriguing concept!  At the time ProCompression was running a special of 40% off their marathon and low cut compression socks in black.  For 40% off a two pack of socks and free shipping I figured it was worth a try.

I had a specific use in mind for these low cut socks.  I need to wear a relatively thin sock in my cycling shoes.  The ones I’ve been wearing are old and stretched out.  This doesn’t matter so much on the bike but if I wear them during a triathlon they have started to ride down in my shoes and they rub uncomfortably.  I was hoping these socks would be the perfect thickness and that with them being compressive they would stay tight and not ride down.

I tried my low cut ProCompression socks out at spin class on Tuesday.  They were the perfect thickness for my cycling shoes.  I’ve also had a chance to try them out on a few runs now and I love them!

They stayed put.  No riding down in the heel resulting in chaffing.  They were definitely very comfortable and I’m looking forward to trying these out on longer runs.  I think I may have found my perfect socks for triathlon races.  Now I just need to pick them up in purple or orange to match my Team Tri Life race kit!

Low cut compression socks.  What do you think, would you give them a whirl?  Have you tried ProCompression socks before?  You can sign up to be notified of their monthly specials or follow them on twitter to find out about discount codes.  Have I mentioned that they ship to Canada?

*I bought these socks myself and wanted to share a review of my honest opinions with you!*

Wow that sounds great! I wore the full length CEP socks during a race in November and I didn’t really like it for the race, they were very thin and my shoes felt too big so I’ve only been wearing them for recovery. Low compression socks sound interesting though, I’d probably give them a try if I hadn’t just spent money on new compression tights…

I got some pro-compression long socks with a 40% discount code in December (and so far i like them) but have never even seen low compression socks (clearly i didn’t poke around their website much). Is the point of them just to provide extra support for your feet?

I have a new pair of Pro Compression socks waiting for me upstairs, just haven’t tried them yet. Mine are the tall ones though, have never thought of the low…
