April StrideBox Reveal

April 13, 2013 By: Runner Leana

Have you heard about StrideBox yet?  StrideBox is a monthly subscription filled with full of stuff that runners want!  I first heard about StrideBox back in February via a review and giveaway on Run Faster Mommy.  I didn’t jump on a subscription right away and then I saw all of the awesome stuff the March subscribers got.  They got a Picky Bar in their box and I am dying to try Picky Bars!  Needless to say that after I was done kicking myself I headed on over to StrideBox’s website and signed up for a subscription right away.

For $15 a month (plus an extra $5 to ship to Canada) you’ll get 6 – 8 samples in your box.  Here is our April box:

You get a card detailing all of the items in your box.  I love that they tell you the retail price for the items you get, making it easy to see the value you are getting in your box:

Peeling back the blue tissue paper reveals:

Inside we got a few samples from Clif Bar – a mini chocolate brownie Clif Bar, a razz Clif Shot and mountain berry Clif Shot Blocks.  We also got two of the newest flavours from nuun – lemonade and cherry limeade!  I’ve been scouring Calgary high and low and have yet to find these here.  So happy to finally get a chance to try them!  We got a bag of Barnana chewy banana bites.  I haven’t tried these yet, but they definitely sound interesting.  They are non GMO, gluten free, high in fiber, raw and vegan.  Next up we got a single trial pack of Energy Bits.  I have several friends on twitter that love Energy Bits so I’m looking forward to giving these a try.  There were also two products from Hammer Nutrition in the box.  First up is a chocolate peanut recovery bar that is so brand new that it is still in trial packaging!  And did you know that Hammer makes a lip balm?  I sure didn’t!  I can’t wait to try this out.  We also got an Action Wipe sample.  Action Wipes are like an instant shower in a 9 x 10 towel in a packet.  What a great idea for freshening up at work after a lunch run if you don’t have access to a shower!

And finally we also received a little something extra that didn’t make it on to our product guide card.  See that green item in plastic?  It is a light up slap bracelet!  What a great idea if you are running or cycling in the dark.  You know what?  I bet this would be perfect if I made it on the nuun Hood to Coast team… 😉

So to recap:

  • The StrideBox is filled with all kinds of awesome things for runners to try.
  • It only costs $15 per month.
  • StrideBox ships to Canada!!!!
  • Your box will contain products including, but not limited to: nutritional bars, gels, drinks, snacks, apparel, gadgets, skincare, health, apps and music, as well as other accessories.

The buzz was so big about StrideBox that they actually sold out and had to create a waiting list for their April box, so if you are interested subscribe today!

That a really clever idea! It’d be like your birthday every month. Thanks for sharing about this, I had no clue.

This is such a great idea, something I’ll definitely consider once I become a lil more financially stable. And I was wondering what that green “thing” was, I thought it was a collapsible drinking bottle (whoops)! Enjoy your new snacks 😉

I think it is a cool idea, but I also think I’d find it frustrating not to be able to find the products that I’d sampled if they weren’t available in Canada…

I’m so jealous that yours came already! I assumed it was being in Canada that made my shipping so slow, I’m still waiting. But at least now I know what I’m waiting for! So excited 🙂

I got a mini wait list box – perfect thing to keep me happy until May when I get the full box. Very happy that they ship to Canada too. I’m not too worried about not being able to find the products I love in Canada, because part of the fun is trying out new things and keeping variety in my snacks.
