Before I dive into my race report from my first triathlon this year at today’s Wasa Lake Triathlon, let’s catch up!
Last weekend we said goodbye to our Subaru.
And we said hello to our new VW Tiguan.
Neil raced his first ever triathlon last weekend at the Vulcan Tinman!
I was a very proud wife.
Before we left for Vulcan I had a long run to do. There is nothing like doing a long run, then hopping in the car for a long drive! At least said long drive was in our new comfy car! 🙂
On Sunday I had a long ride to do. Weather was not on our side on Sunday. I had to call it quits early as it started to monsoon, but I did see a deer and a moose on the ride!! It is really rare to actually see a moose so up close and personal. Luckily this moose was not very interested in us.
It has been a busy week with my first open water swim in Calgary this year (brrr, the lake was cold), some speed work and a lot of really short nights and busy days at work. I’m hoping this week is a little bit quieter…it is the final push to get ready for the Great White North Half Iron now!
Up next, my Wasa Lake Triathlon race report.
Yoohoo! For your hubby’s first tri! I don’t think I’d be able to do triathlons but all the power to those who can 🙂
Congrats to your hubby! I bet you were a great supporter.
And a big congrats to Neil too!
Love the new car! Congrats to Neil on his first tri!
