July Recap and August Goals

August 13, 2013 By: Runner Leana

DSCN9235 edit

A few days late into August…but here is my recap for July!  My goal for the month was to just have fun racing, so I’ll recap the many amazing things happened this month.  Great White North was such a fun weekend and a great race.

Neil and I also celebrated our second anniversary!  Time sure flies when you are having fun! 🙂

I also had the experience of a lifetime running Ragnar Northwest Passage with Team Nuun.  Definitely one of the highlights of the year!  Thank you so much to Nuun for letting me hang out with you!

I also signed up for Ironman #3…the inaugural Ironman Boulder in August 2014!

And I raced the Calgary 70.3 as the runner on a relay team.  It was such a fun experience!

So what are my goals for August?

  • I only have one race on the calendar this month, the Strathmore Women’s Triathlon this weekend.  I would like to race hard, race with heart and to crack 30 minutes on the 5K run.  Sure, I’ve done it before, but this is a big milestone in my comeback to get some of my old speed back.
  • From here on out, no dinners out here in Calgary until our Disney vacation for the Tower of Terror 10 Miler.
  • Get to know my new Oiselle teammates!

Pretty short and simple goal list for the month, but there we go!

What are your goals for the month?

You sure you can handle only doing one race in the month? 😉 Can’t wait to read your race report with your sub-30 run.

I just looked and Strathmore still has spots open. Hmmmm…

Sounds like a great list for August to me, as I post this on August 15th :). I’m behind and commenting less but still reading.
