I can’t believe how quickly this year is flying by! Lots of fun stuff happened in October.
We travelled to Disney World!
And I ran the Tower of Terror 10 Miler.
The amazing Banff Ekiden relay race happened too!
Because I set my goals in mid-October I extended them in to November. Time to check in on how I’m doing!
- Find my way to the pool. I made it once in October but I did swim last night! I’m committing to go twice a week from now on!
- Core three times per week. I did my first round of core last week and it comes as no surprise that my core is very weak! Every exercise was hard! Your core is so important in swimming, biking and running I need to make the commitment and create the habit.
- Pack my lunch to work four days per week. I’m doing great on this one! I’m planning meals and making sure that what I’m planning will give us leftovers to take for lunch. The one thing I’m noticing is that when I buy lunch on my gimme day I wind up not feeling so great. It just goes to show the impact of eating well balanced home cooked food versus rich or quick meals on my body.
No change to these goals for November, but now that the off season is almost here for me (next week!) I’d like to incorporate regular strength training twice a week.
