Friends, we have made it to another Thursday! That means it is time to share some random thoughts and link up with Amanda from Running With Spoons for Thinking Out Loud.
I am racing this weekend! The Glencoe Icebreaker 10K is on Sunday. I am excited that the weather forecast looks great so far and I’m already looking forward to the amazing post race breakfast the race organizers put on.
Here’s hoping I won’t have to bust out my anti-snow dance this year…
Speaking of breakfast…let’s talk about coffee. I alternate between drinking tea and coffee in the mornings. Right now I’m most definitely on a coffee kick. We upgraded our French press from a Bodum to an Espro (thank you Williams-Sonoma for the 20% off one item deal). I also picked up some freshly roasted beans from Rosso Coffee Roasters on Tuesday. The beans were freshly roasted the day before. Coffee has never tasted so good.
I’ve been thinking a lot about my goals for the year. What exactly do I want this year to look like? I have a blank Believe I Am journal sitting on my nightstand, just waiting for me to put it to use.
I haven’t started to fully flesh things out yet but there is a theme that is coming to mind. More to come…
Oh! And if you’ve had your eye on one of the Oiselle Katron puffy pieces (vest, pullover or jacket) now is your chance to scoop one up on sale! My vest was great for running on really cold days, plus it has lots of pockets to stash your phone, Kleenex or what have you. It was also great on my hike up Sulphur Mountain in the snow!
What is the silliest thing you’ve ever posted on the internet?
I did this pretty embarrassing video for Trophy at Stampede 2 years ago and I posted that.

I love the looks of that journal! Journalling is actually something that I’ve been trying to get into more because it really does make a huge difference when it comes to motivation and mindset. And good luck on your race this weekend! It’s supposed to be a gorgeous one 😀

Thanks for the good luck wishes Amanda!
It looks like the journal is also available through Amazon.ca…always nice for those of us in Canada! I’m excited to start putting pen to paper as I really think it will help to make a difference.

I love that journal, too.
I once posted a picture of myself volunteering at my son’s school cafeteria. There was a hair net involved. It was pretty silly.
