Today I’m linking up with Courtney from Eat Pray Run, DC, Cynthia at You Signed Up for What and Mar at Mar on the Run for their Friday Five Link Up! The topic for this week is to share five blogs I think you should be reading.
I’ve been reading Marni’s blog for years. Not only is she an amazing athlete, but she’s a registered dietitian with an M.S. in Exercise Physiology. She’s competed in Kona three times and is going back to Kona again this year to race alongside her husband. Marni will inspire you with her dedication to train smart and her passion for healthy eating.

I’ve also been following Beth’s blog for years as she’s moved from competitive age group triathlete to pro. Beth had a baby last year and since she has returned to racing she has been on fire. She’s talented and passionate about sport and she balances her pro career with that of her partner with being a mom. I love to read about what it is like racing as a pro. She’s so classy and well spoken…just read her interview on Slowtwitch. It is impossible not to cheer for her!
Ray Maker is the go to guy if you have questions about any kind of sports gadget. Chances are he’s reviewed it! Ray’s reviews are always super detailed and I pour over them before I make the decision on what gadget to buy. Ray and his wife live in Paris (where his wife owns and runs a bakery that sells cupcakes and custom cakes). He’s always jetting off around the world on business trips (the blog is only a side gig, but a very successful one). He manages to combine work, gadget testing, and traveling and still fits in his workouts. His photographs from his travels are always stunning too. If you are looking for tips to fitting in your workouts when you travel then follow Ray.
Another feed in my reader is Triathlete.com. Every week they come out with a one hour workout (always a nice to have in case I need an emergency trainer ride, but they have run and swim workouts too). I also like their recipe ideas and tips on nutrition and training. Plus find out about new gadgets, gizmos and gear!
If you are planning a trip to Disney World and want to know where you should eat on property then the Disney Food Blog is a huge resource! With oodles of menus and restaurant reviews it will help you narrow down your wide range of choices.
