Today I’m linking up with Courtney from Eat Pray Run, DC, Cynthia at You Signed Up for What and Mar at Mar on the Run for their Friday Five Link Up! The topic for this week is to share five trips we’d like to take. Here are the top five trips I’d love to go on soon!
New York at Christmas
Neil and I spent the Christmas holidays in New York back in 2013 and I’m beyond thrilled that we’ll be back in the city for 2015. There is something so magical about the holiday season in New York. I can’t wait for the decorations, the delicious food and drink, shopping at Whole Foods and Trader Joe’s, all of the runs in Central Park and the odd Refine Method class!
Newfoundland
I would love to see more of Canada! The farthest east I’ve been is Quebec City and I’d like to make it all the way out to Newfoundland and Labrador. There are tons of outdoor activities to do like hiking, kayaking, camping and iceberg watching.
Yellowstone National Park
Last year when Neil and I drove down to Colorado for Ironman Boulder we spent on evening in Yellowstone National Park. It is a place we really want to go back to! There is so much to see with all of the geysers, great hiking, and it looks like there is some great bike riding through the park.
London
I lived in England for a total of 7 years growing up, but I haven’t been back since 1995. I have wanted to go back and visit for a very long time and I’d especially like to take Neil! The plays, the pubs, the history… Visiting old haunts…(yes I am in the photo below!)
Paris
I could probably make a blanket statement and say I’d like to visit Europe. I have apparently been to Paris but it was well before I could remember the visit. Paris wouldn’t be Neil’s first choice but I’d love to visit the Eiffel Tower, eat the food, drink the wine and visit Versailles. Maybe rent a bike and tour around the city and have a picnic somewhere?
Where would you love to travel to?
I’m really enjoying hearing about everyone’s dream travel destinations. Paris is such a beautiful city with so much culture and amazing food. I’ve only been there twice, but I can’t wait to go back. It’s almost been 10 years since my last visit. The gardens at Versailles were amazing! I probably enjoyed them more than the actual building.

I love Paris and London SO MUCH and am dying to go back! My boyfriend has never been to either city and I would love nothing more than to explore both of those beautiful places with him. I’ve always wanted to visit NYC during the holidays, and seeing as how my sister has lived there for nearly 3 years, I really have no excuse not to go! Maybe we will have to do that this year 🙂

I would go back to Venice and Florence in a heartbeat. Within Canada I’ve been to Nova Scotia several times and loved it each time. Hirtle’s beach is amazing. I’d love to see more of Vancouver Island and the other west coast islands. And Tuktoyaktuk, I’ve always wanted to go, just to say I’ve been there. And Churchill to visit the bears. Iceland, just because.

One trip that’s on my bucket list isn’t that far from home–it’s a week-long rafting trip on the Salmon River in Idaho. I love river rafting and have wanted to raft the legendary Middle Fork since I was a teen.
New York at Christmastime also looks pretty nice!

Paris is on my list too! Great list – it would be fun to explore more of Canada. I’ve never thought about Newfoundland, but your pictures looks nice. Reminds me a bit of Greenland (through pics only…never been)

Your pictures are gorgeous! I love that little village in England – how quaint. I’d love to go to NYC to see the Christmas decorations, too.

New York at Christmastime is lovely indeed…make sure to check out the lights uptown as well as at the big tree at Rock Center. The Met at Christmas is just lovely decked out, as is Carl Schurz Park’s quaint tree and lights display!

Running NYC is my big bucket list race and pretty much any where in Europe.
