My friends, we have made it to another Thursday! As usual I’m linking up with Amanda from Running With Spoons to share my random thoughts.
Is it wrong that one of the things I’m super excited about with our visit to Disneyland is being able to watch more Parks and Rec? Dear Netflix Canada…please add Parks and Rec and the Office to your lineup of shows!
I also should watch Tinker Bell on Netflix while we are down in the US (again, not available here in Canada). I feel like I ought to study up to be ready for the Tinker Bell race….plus it will apparently help to explain the concept behind the Pixie Dust Challenge medal.
When Neil and I went to the Cocktail Carnival for Cancer fundraiser on Sunday night one of the bartenders offered me a non-alcoholic version of the cocktail he was pouring…because he thought I was pregnant. Um…thanks for making me feel bad about those fries I had at Costco that afternoon…
Going back to the theme of things to watch…this video below. Western Time is the journey of ultra runner Sally McRae‘s journey at the Western States 100 Miler. I dare you to watch it and not be inspired.
Something she says resonates with me:
There is no amount of physical pain. If you really love and you really want something and you want to experience it, and you understand that there is value there and it is worth it…you are going to make it happen.
Wow… A key part of goal setting is understanding why your goal is important to you. Without that knowledge you may not have the strength and desire that you need to go to that place…to embrace the pain to reach your goal.
Speaking of making things happen…my weekday spins are getting earlier and earlier. Yesterday I was pedaling at 4:41 am. I followed the workout up with a brick run and the sky was just stunning.
This dog… He’s so cute and I love him so.
Share something random with me from your week!
What a jerk that bartender is! Seriously don’t people learn you never ask or assume anyone is pregnant. Sheesh. You should have been like actually I’m training for an ironman so I don’t have time for being pregnant.
And yes to the office & parks being on Netflix Canada although then I will binge watch those excessively too.

4:41?!?!?! You’re crazy girl (in the best most inspiring way) 😉 I love reading about your workouts and it makes me just tired thinking about them!

Bartender’s an ass. I was looking at your earlier post on running – there was a pic of you running, leg stretched out, wearing capris (I think in Bowmont?) and I remember thinking: wow, Leana has gotten lean. So tell that bartender he’s a jerk and that he owes you a double shot.
Also, 4:41am is too early. What were you thinking?!? lol
Seriously?! People still ask stupid questions like that? Ugh. Don’t let it get to you, girl. You look great, and holy.snap can you kick some serious ass on the workout front. I mean, working out at 4:40 and running shortly after? Uh huh. Rockstar status, right there.

Ohhhh, that bartender. Doesn’t he realize that you NEVER EVER EVER say something like that. Like ever?! Grrrrrrr.
If you watch Netflix on a laptop, I might be able to help you out with your Parks and Rec issue 😉

People are idiots! 4:41am…#icanteven. Your doggie is super cute!
Agh, your post made me furious! For real girls are not allowed to have a happy tummy after fries?

No tip for that bartender. I get that a lot and it really ticks me off. Let it go because you don’t look it at all. At. All.
Western Time is one of my favourites. I’ve watched it a dozen times now and it was my go to starter movie on the treadmill for a particularly crappy training stretch this winter.
Ugh! I had someone comment on my “pregnancy” before when I was definitely not pregnant! 🙁
