Currently in January…
Reading A Life Without Limits: A World Champion’s Journey by Chrissie Wellington. It is amazing to read the story behind one of the best triathletes and how she got in to the sport. I’m very nearly done the book which will have me on track to finish at least one book per month this year! I’m trying to figure out what I should read next…
Loving Love Beets pre-cooked beets, found at Costco.
Thinking about what brings me joy.
Feeling out a new saddle on my bike. I did a saddle fitting at TCR Sport Lab the other week and I brought home the Cobb Randee to test out for a little bit longer. The support is pretty well gone in my old saddle so I definitely need something new. Thanks to TCR I can test a bunch of saddles to find what works best for me before buying one.
Excitedly anticipating a quick trip to Phoenix for the marathon and a chance to hang out with my coach!
Inspired by people working hard to reach their goals.
Watching Under the Tuscan Sun and craving a big bowl of delicious pasta…
Sad that this is not a thing anymore and that the Canadian dollar is kind of crappy right now.
Working on dinner…red wine braised short ribs. It smells so good in here!
Grateful that my body is healthy and running is feeling great in this cycle of training for the Phoenix Marathon. It was at this time last year that I was struck with patellar tendinitis thanks to some weak hips and a very tight IT band.
Listening to any and all episodes of Carpool Karaoke with James Corden. The one with Adele is particularly good!
Wishing for nice weather for this weekend’s 20 – 21 mile long!
What are you up to currently?
Looks like the weather should be good for your run. So happy this training cycle is going well for you.
Thanks for the book suggestion. Oh and pre-cooked beets do not last at my house.

Beets. Yack. First it’s SUAR and Brussels Sprouts. Now you and beets.
Glad to see training and stuff is going awesome!
Have you read “the nightingale” by Kristin Hannah? I just started, really good. Linda read it one day.

Ohh, Brussels are awesome too! I love them. I think they are best heavily roasted which makes the leaves quite crispy. So much better than the sulfuric steamed ones.
Thanks for the book suggestion! This sounds right up my alley and I’ve added it to the top of my Goodreads list! I decided to start on Wild first though, since I already own it but haven’t read it yet.

It really does suck about the dollar, but hopefully things start to look up soon. Fingers crossed for good weather this weekend for your run!
