Is anyone else feeling like life is speeding by so far in 2016? Here is what I am currently up to as March draws to a close…
Reading Wild: From Lost to Found on the Pacific Crest Trail by Cheryl Strayed. I picked this book up at the end of January and ideally I would have liked to have finished it in February…and I’m still not quite done at the end of March!
Loving the new 2016 collection from SOAS Racing! How beautiful are these four tri tanks? Clockwise: Aquarius, Byron Bay, Red Geo and Ultramarine.
Thinking that it has been a long time since I’ve had to work through math problems and they are currently challenging my brain.
Feeling like I really need to up my core strength! This became quite apparent at my bike fit this past weekend.
Excitedly anticipating the next month and a bit of training for Ironman 70.3 St. George. With a bit more free time on my hands these days my training is looking a lot more intense. Honestly I’m pretty excited to put in some extra work!
Inspired by this quote from Lauren Fleshman:
Watching Parks and Recreation on shomi. I love Leslie Knope!
Sad that the latest instalment of Top Chef is over. And I’m still sad that Top Chef Canada is no longer a thing either (even though the last episode was in 2014).
Working on getting my om on. After training camp in Canmore I’m determined to take some extra time for yoga to help my recovery. I signed up for Jasyoga Video!
Grateful to have Peat in our lives. Four years ago this week he joined our family and we are so thankful for this loving, cheerful little guy.

Wishing for some nice spring weather so I can do a bit of riding outside!
What are you currently up to?
I’m linking up with Amanda from Running With Spoons for Thinking Out Loud.
I’m currently watching Dancing with the Stars (just started!) and loving raspberry tea!
I love that quote too. Magic 🙂
I watched the first night numbers of Dancing with the Stars! Do you have a favourite? I’m rooting for Nyle!
I love Parks & Rec! I wish it was on Netflix so I could binge watch it.

Parks & Rec was one of the main reasons why we signed up for Shomi! We don’t have cable though, just Netflix and Shomi.
Wild is a great read and leg up on the wall is one of my go to moves for extra relaxation. I am currently loving podcasts and lots of aroma therapy scents. I am also currently into planning out my race calendar for the rest of spring/summer. so exciting!

What podcasts are you loving these days? I’ve been listening to Running on Om and Endurance Planet a lot but I’d love to discover some new ones!
Best of luck with planning your race calendar!
I’m currently wishing for nice spring weather too! It’s all doom and gloom today and we might even get some snow. I love that the days are longer, but I’d really love a little more sunshine. Good thing it can only get better from here 😀

Our forecast here has some bits of snow in it too, but we didn’t get the same snow that you did! I agree with you, I also love that our days our getting longer now too!
I loved the book WIld… and the movie. I read it before I did the West Coast Trail and I told people that was how I trained for the trail as a joke, haha!
I can see how the book would have been a great read before hiking WCT! I’m still amazed that she did that with no hiking knowledge or background. It has been a great read so far!
I’ve been meaning to read wild!
I’ve really been enjoying it, I just need to make more time to actually sit down and read! I’m holding off on seeing the movie until I’ve finished the book. 🙂
You are right, these months are just flying by! I am loving the nice weather we are having and am looking forward to doing some strong runs this spring!
I’m glad to hear you have been getting some lovely spring weather lately! I love that the days are starting to get longer too!
I loved Wild! And Parks and Rec is one of my all time favourites. There are just so many good characters in that show!

I particularly love Ron Swanson and the friendship that he and Leslie have. Especially his birthday episode!!

I didn’t love Wild, or the movie. I pushed through, but felt very neutral on all of it.

That’s too bad you didn’t really love it! 🙁

Love me some Parks and Rec!! I watched it all a few months ago, and it was amazing!

I’m trying to limit my watching of Parks & Rec…I don’t want it to be over too soon!! I do love it though!

If you want to expand into a home yoga practice – you should check out doyogawithme.com; free yoga videos, including many tailoring to athletes and runners. Some are 10-15 minutes….some our hour long classes. Also, they have free meditation on there too (audio).
Thank you so much for the tip Laura! I’ll have to look into that.

I’m sad Top Chef is over too. I was hoping for Amar (between the two… I really liked Marjorie and Kwame).

I really liked Marjorie on Top Chef and I was pretty sad she didn’t make it into the finale. She seemed to have such a strong repertoire all around. She could nail desserts!

I didn’t read Wild, but I saw the movie and found it to be very slow, although the general story line is quite inspiring.
I too feel like this year is just flying by. Slow down time!

Hmm, neither you or Ange really enjoyed Wild. I love the idea of the story…maybe it didn’t translate on to film that well. I need to try and watch it soon. Thank goodness it is on Netflix!
