Happy Thursday! It is once again time to link up with the lovely Amanda from Running With Spoons for Thinking Out Loud.
Time seems to be flying by! The days are getting longer and I’m loving it. I caught a spectacular sky leaving the pool yesterday morning. I will admit I am sad about the time change this weekend that will make the mornings dark again for the next little while.
We have had some amazing spring like weather here lately. Yesterday I had a swim and a spin on my schedule but I needed to get out and take advantage of the beautiful day. Peat usually hates long walks and selfies but he obliged yesterday.
Timehop reminded me that six years ago I did my first hike in the winter in Banff – up to Johnston Canyon and the Ink Pots. I love this picture from that day…the weather was spectacular, I had a great time with these ladies, and this was around the time I was debating whether I should get back together with Neil. This weekend I’ll be doing a brand new to me hike in Canmore and I’m looking forward to it!
After taking most of last week off from any form of structured activity post Phoenix Marathon I’m now starting to ease back into triathlon training. One week is definitely not enough time to feel recovered from a marathon I would say. Right now running feels not so fun, but I’m taking it very easy and just trying to enjoy being outside. I’m trying to be cognizant that last year I managed to injure myself after my Goofy marathon so this is the time to be smart.
Those are my random thoughts for this week! What fun thing do you have planned this weekend?
Fun thing? The Talisman 10 mile Tri. Getting off a hard bike spin and running upstairs will be something to watch. And car shopping, watch for us at the car show.

I just love the pictures of Pete. I know what you mean about time off after a marathon, just need to not be committed to a training plan for a couple of weeks. Enjoy your triathlon training. I’m just getting back into a half training after my unexpected pacemaker implant in December. Just happy to be running again.
Side note: those geometric tights look adorable!
