A Tale of Sevens

April 1, 2016 By: Runner Leana

Time is ticking down to Ironman 70.3 St. George!  The race is now 5 weeks away.

I’m excited, but feeling a bit nervous!  This week Ironman released bib numbers for the race and I will be sporting number 1477.  I like 1477 as it sounds nice and lucky.  I’m a fan of all of the 7’s!

I did a little looking through my old bibs for Ironman branded races and discovered something fun…

Bib Number 724

As an aside I just discovered that this race has been discontinued…guess I won’t get my redemption at this race one day!

I’m noticing a theme here!  Now I’m just hoping I get a bib number with a seven in it in Boulder this year! 🙂

Do you have favourite numbers or feel superstitious about bib numbers at all?

And I think because you got double 7s for St. George, you will have everything going for you with the race! Best of luck, but you have worked for that luck! 😉

Wow, I can’t believe that St. George is 5 weeks away – that’s exciting! I am partial to the number “8”, but I’m not hugely superstitious. I did like my number from Boulder last year – 696. I liked that it was the same number, flipped one way or the other. Yes, I’m weird.
Hope that you get lots of 7’s for St. George!
