Wow…April is drawing to a close and May is almost here. April just flew by for me! Here is what I’m up to currently.
Reading the New York Times articles on Julie Miller, the triathlete accused of cheating at Ironman Canada in Whistler last year. Read part 1 HERE and part 2 HERE where there is video evidence that she likely only completed one loop of the marathon course. There have been a lot of stories in the news about people cheating lately…getting into the Boston marathon under dishonest circumstances or course cutting in marathons. I’m amazed and saddened by the things people will do to get into the big races. Do the accomplishments mean as much if you didn’t do the work to get there?
Loving this picture of Peat.
99% of the time if Peat is looking cute or doing something cute he starts to scowl as soon as I pull out my phone to capture the moment. Such as below:
That is an epic Peat scowl! Then every once in awhile I manage to catch a gem.
Thinking that I really need to get my taxes done! Nothing like leaving them for the last minute!
Feeling tired after some amazing quality training lately. I’ve been doing a bit of a mini-training camp/big push for Ironman 70.3 St. George and I think I’m ready for taper…
Excitedly anticipating a Smoke Shack burger at Shake Shack in Las Vegas very soon..!!
Inspired by friends being real, courageous and honest while they share their journey with body changes and image issues.
Sad about this long term forecast for Saint George! I really hope it changes and that it does not rain that much on race day on May 7th!
Working on a little self reflection these days.
Grateful for beautiful weather and an abundance of hills to train on in Kelowna this past week.
Listening to the following…
Wishing for another SOAS Racing cycling jersey! I’m loving my team jersey so much and the fabric on the sleeves makes this one of the most comfortable and flattering jerseys I own. I have tons of cycling jerseys, but this one wins hands down!!
What are you currently up to?
