Wow…June is almost here! How was your May? Here is what I am currently up to as this month draws to a close…
Reading Cleaving by Julie Powell. I’m not too far into the book but I’m not sure how I feel about it so far. I’m not feeling a lot of love or sympathy for the writer! After Julie Powell wrote Julie and Julia she cheats on her husband and in an effort to find herself she decides to learn the art of butchery.
Loving the view from the Rooftop Bar @ Simmons. Not only is the view amazing from up here, but the food and beverages are delicious too. Although the Rooftop Bar is in the same building as Charbar this is a completely separate restaurant. Follow them on twitter for updates as hours may vary due to weather. Try their burger or the build your own tacos!
Thinking that you should sign up for the Global Running Day Challenge on Strava on June 1st! All you have to do is run at least 1 km to help celebrate Global Running Day and upload it to Strava.
Feeling like starting and ending my ride on Saturday by a grocery store was a brilliant idea. Hello post-ride sushi! For my 2 hour ride I parked at the Co-Op in Rocky Ridge, rode around Bearspaw, then grabbed some sushi to chow down on at home.
Excitedly anticipating a fun triathlon relay in Drumheller this weekend!
Inspired by everyone who ran the Calgary Marathon this past weekend. For my run workout I made my way to the 32/33K mark with cowbell in hand to cheer on friends, then ran back to Edworthy.
Watching Peat sleep on the floor of the den as I type away.
Sad that I haven’t met this adorable girl yet! Meet Bonnie, my parents’ adorable little Scottish terrier pup. I can’t wait to see what Peat thinks of her when he meets her!
Working on getting our office set up into a useable space! We have acquired a desk and chair and books have finally been unpacked from the boxes that they were residing in for almost two years. A bit more tidying is required, as is hanging some art on the walls. It is great to finally have a home office space though!
Grateful for my wonderful and supportive husband!
Listening to the So You Wanna Go Pro series of podcasts on Endurance Planet. I find it really interesting to hear about the thought process of going pro and how Matt Bach is approaching the business end of a pro career.
I’m also grooving out to the following tunes…
Wishing for some good news at the end of the week. #vaugeblogging #sorrynotsorry
What are you up to currently?
Oh I really want to check out the Simmons rooftop bar. Hopefully I’ll get there soon!

Heather, I think you’ll love it! The views are phenomenal, plus on a nice day a great patio can’t be beat.

I wouldn’t be a huge fan of a writer who cheated on their significant other either. I can see where you are coming from with that.
Your parents new baby is very cute.

I imagine it can’t be easy to write where you aren’t showing your best self so I do appreciate her honesty in the process. The book is still an interesting read though.

That view is gorgeous! Need to go check it out sometime soon. Have fun at the triathlon this weekend! 🙂

Thanks Leigh! I haven’t ridden out around Drumheller before so I’m looking forward to the new scenery!
