Well my friends, we have made it to another Thursday, which means it is time to link up with Amanda from Running With Spoons for Thinking Out Loud.
Remember when I mentioned getting sick on my way home from Disneyland? It turns out I was gifted an early birthday present in the form of an ear infection. I can’t remember the last time I had an ear infection. My age was probably in the single digit range.
There isn’t too much that I miss about our old home and neighborhood, but having delicious pizza that can be delivered just a phone call away is one of them. That’s right…we live in a bit of a no man’s land where there is no yummy pizza within the delivery range. Since I was nearby for my doctor’s appointment I picked up some pizza from my old favourite place, Mitillini’s. It was oh so tasty.
Do you remember the Sex and the City episode where the girls revealed their secret single behaviours? Neil has been out of town this week so it has just been Peat and I. My secret single behaviour used to be eating ice cream for dinner. When I was too lazy or tired to cook I’d just eat ice cream. I honestly haven’t been in the mood for ice cream this week so instead I’ve been curling up in bed well before 8 pm and watching Pitch Perfect or Modern Family, and I finished reading Gone Girl.
Peat has not minded one bit.
A few weeks ago I lamented that The Office and Parks and Recreation aren’t available on Netflix Canada. Well guess what? They are available here on shomi! Shomi is an online streaming service similar to Netflix and they finally have an app on Apple TV. If you are a Rogers or Shaw internet customer then you can sign up for shomi for $8.99/month.
Neil and I were sitting and enjoying a beverage at California Adventure when we overheard a rather heated telephone conversation behind us. The woman was having some sort of customer service issue and her voice was getting louder and louder as she talked about how this was ruining her day at Disneyland. She then yelled, “I’m going to write a blog post about this! I’m sure all of my readers would love to hear about this. You should look me up on Facebook, I’m kind of a big deal!”
And with that…have a wonderful Thursday!
What is your secret single behaviour?
Hahaha – your single girl behavior sounds just like me. Last night, I sat in bed watching Gossip Girl while sipping Kevita & eating 2 Quest bars for “dinner” and throwing the wrappers on the floor. #ClassyLady
Sorry to hear you have an ear infection – they’re awfully painful. I had a bad one in my teens that made me so dizzy I was walking into walls. (Or maybe I was just drunk)

Haha, that’s hilarious. I don’t think threatening to tell the internet would be overly productive; however.
My whole life is secret single behaviour 🙂

LOL! You should try to find that woman’s blog and see what she was so unhappy about!
My secret single behavior is a lot like yours – I eat cereal for dinner. It is awesome!

Ear infections are the worst! I hope you’re feeling better soon,
Haha, gotta love the egos some people have. I’m assuming you didn’t recognize her. I wonder what it was that had her so riled up.

Oh man… I don’t think I could narrow things down to a secret single behaviour because I feel like my whole life is that way 😆 I’ve been living alone for so long that I’ve picked up some habits… including eating cereal and/or popcorn for dinner and peeing with the door open 😉

That gave me a good laugh. I’m kind of a big deal ha ha ha. I agree. Too bad she didn’t state her blog so you could figure out the rest of the story! See that would have got more hits. Her saying it, people looking it up, talking about it on her blogs. She needed to think bigger ha ha. Maybe not so big a deal? 😉

Leana I wanted to ask you about your garmin 920 and how u like it? I recently got the garmin active and Ian not too impressed with it. The watch face isn’t dark enough to read.
Sorry to hear about the ear infection.
