Thinking Out Loud 09.24.2015

September 24, 2015 By: Runner Leana

Happy Thursday my friends!  It is time to link up with Amanda from Running With Spoons to share some randomness.

Thinking Out Loud

First up…The Canadian dollar is not so hot these days which makes me reluctant to purchase things online from the US.  For the odd item that I did decide to buy Canada Post has hit with some serious duty charges upon arrival!  I had two packages arrive and the duty was about 30% of the declared value.  With the exchange rate that adds insult to injury.  I do like to support local retailers but I’ve made exceptions for the odd item I can’t buy up here.  I’ll be thinking very hard about any items I think I actually want in the future!

Speaking of shopping…I had to visit the mall to get a few new items for fall.  For the first time in my adult life (that I can remember) I purchased dress pants in a single digit size.

Peat has become obsessed with computer screens!  He follows the mouse and last night he was making the graphics on my iPad move and expand as his nose hit the screen.

Here’s hoping he’s not doing any online shopping…

Have you Peanut-ized yourself yet?

My coach saw this picture and thought of me.  I’ve been thinking a lot about passion and purpose lately as I dream big about my goals for next year.

And finally…I’m in the middle of taking the Soda Stream Challenge.  I’m continuing to build healthy habits (in support of those goals and dreams I mentioned above).  Trying to stay well hydrated is just one piece of the puzzle.  I can’t wait to share my thoughts with you at the end of these seven days!

Something random, huh. Our cats sometimes play with computing devices. Sometimes when I’m trying to use it. This doesn’t end well. I hate buying pants. Maybe my retirement goal should be have a life where I don’t need to wear pants.

My cat sits squarely in front of my “screens” and partakes in a game of cat & mouse. At least for the first couple minutes its cute, then we have to negotiate.
Random. I grabbed a whole, pre-rubbed chicken from the grocery store last night to make things easier for me making dinner. Turns out that wasn’t vacuum sealed, it was also already in an oven bag! Score. Onto a tray and straight into the oven, couldn’t be any easier.
